ABOUT
The Parish Council is made up of 5 councillors who all live in Little Ellingham and represent the village on various matters. We are effectively the third tier of local government, the other two being Norfolk County Council and Breckland District Council.
The Parish Clerk is responsible for the smooth running of the Council's business, for example; he/she implements the decisions that are made at committee meetings. They are the first point of contact for the Council and all correspondence comes to the Clerk initially. The Clerk is also responsible for the financial management of the Council's money.
The Parish Council usually meets 6 times a year, on the first Wednesday of every other month (January, March, May, July, September and November). However, there are occasions when extraordinary meetings are called due to issues which require attention prior to the next scheduled meeting.
Meetings are held in the Village Hall at 7.30pm. There is an open form at the beginning of meetings whereby the public are allowed to speak and raise any issues/concerns with the Council.
